Principal Feature:
9Mn2V Cold Work Die Steel is a low-alloy tool steel with better comprehensive mechanical properties than carbon tool steel. It is the only economical steel type among alloy tool steels that does not contain Ni and Cr elements. It has a long application history in my country and has accumulated rich experience. Use experience, it has high hardness and wear resistance. The deformation during quenching is small and the hardenability is very good. Since steel contains a certain amount of vanadium, the grains are refined and the steel's sensitivity to overheating is reduced. At the same time, the carbides are smaller and evenly distributed.
Typical Application:
9Mn2V steel is suitable for manufacturing various precision measuring tools and prototypes. It is also used for punching dies, cold pressing dies, engraving dies, blanking dies, etc. that require relatively small sizes. It can also be used as structural parts such as screw rods for machine tools. Cold work die steel has higher hardenability, quenching and tempering hardness, wear resistance and strength than Cr12. Used to manufacture various cold stamping dies and tools with large cross-sections, complex shapes, and heavy working conditions, such as punching dies, trimming dies, rolling dies, steel plate deep drawing dies, circular saws, standard tools and gauges, Thread rolling die, etc.
Heat Treatment:
Quenching, 780～810℃ oil cooling.
